NYC SUMMER

Interning in NYC so far has been life changing and my biggest inspiration. I feel who I am and what I want to do for the rest of my life.
People here inspire me daily, just by a few words and it only gives me the biggest move of motivation to do more and get more.

grass

I'm not sure how I would survive New York without the great parks here. I wish I lived closer to Central Park because of this.
I love grass.

What do you care about?

What do you care about?

I care about an infinity amount of things.

What I care about the most is my environment.

environment |enˈvīrənmənt; -ˈvī(ə)rn-|
noun
the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates.

In which, this includes space.

space |spās|
noun
the dimensions of height, depth, and width within which all things exist and move.

What I look at and see and observe I care so much about because I feel that it is important to be very particular about our personal ways of living. The people whom I surround myself are essential to my everyday life. I am surrounded by people everyday because of college and work. I do not, however get to choose these people, but they are essential because they are able to give me the inspiration that I can retain to the uses of life.

I care about our space. The amount of negative space there is all around us. I love negative space. Something about it is so surreal to me and relaxing and calming. I feel like it's the most beautiful thing. Even in a house, negative space, wide-open spaces give comfort for me. I'm not claustrophobic. I just love open spaces.

to be continued....

RVA'S VCU.

Although I wasn't a part of this, which in some ways I'm glad I wasn't and in other aspects I wish I was just to document this event that did happen here at VCU...

There was even a Facebook event; "BROAD STREET TAKEOVER." Which was going to happen whether or not we won or lost. Fire trucks were attacked. Rocks, bricks and bottles were thrown at officers. Street signs were torn down, windows broken and fires set.Six people were arrested and a "few injuries" were sustained as police in riot gear came in.

Crazy crazy RVA.

history

does our history make us who we are today? and does it mean we are still the same as our past?

or should we not think too hard about it, and just move on with our lives since it's a new page?

how cool is this

"In the beginning of most any artistic pursuit, specific themes and subject matter begin to pull at you in very personal ways. They begin to define what you, as a photographer, will shoot." - Tom Storm

Candy Chang's Before I Die...wall

Candy Chang's installation project gave me a moment of reflection. Most of this artist's work is aimed to reason and to reason with people on the livability of cities and public spaces in general.

See more of his work here.
